Internal crisis in Israel due to importing water form Turkey

Israel is witnessing a severe internal battle concerning importing water from Turkey to ease the lack of water or establishing huge projects for desalinating the water in Israel itself.
There is a strong pressure group headed by Israeli Agriculture Minister Haim Oron who led a campaign to build a water desalination station capable of producing 50 million cubic meters of water annually, yet supporters of importing water from Turkey made too much ado and were supported by Turkish President Soleiman Demirel, as they are arguing that importing water from Turkey will enhance Turkish - Israeli strategic ties and help lift the issue of water from the sensitive security agenda, as well as ease pressure on the negotiations concerning water, not only with Syria but with Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon.
