Some 250 Algerian gunmen surrender

The Algerian daily al-Khabar said on Sunday that some 250 members of the Islamic Salvation Army surrendered on Saturday to the specialized authorities under the "civil concord law."
Meanwhile, the Algerian daily Sawt al-Ahrar said that Algerian security forces killed one Armed Islamic Group member in al-Wadi province.
For its part, the Algerian daily al-Youm said that two persons surrendered themselves to the authorities concerned on the context of the "civil concord law."
Algerian security sources stated yesterday that elements of the Islamic Salvation Army started surrending on the first day of the current Ramadan and that this file will be settled by the end of the month before the end of the time period granted for the civil rapport law on January 13.
