$ 753 Million in trade between Egyptian and Saudi Arabia

Trade Exchange between two of the strongest Arab economies, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, have increased, but Egypt's share of these exports have seen a strong decrease.
The commercial exchange volume between Egypt and Saudi Arabia has increased to $ 753 million during the last year from $ 583 million in 1997 and nearly $ 362 million in 1997 and $ 362 million in 1996.
A study made by the international trade department concerning Saudi Arabia's commercial exchange with the external world - revealed that "Egypt's and Saudi Arabia's trade reached 384 million dollars during the first half of the current year among which are 331 million dollars are Egypt's imports from Saudi Arabia."
The value of Egyptian exports to Saudi Arabia has witnessed a strong decrease during the last 5 years from $ 157 million dollars in 1994 to $ 138 million dollars in 1998.
