Israeli official expresses confidence that agreement with Syria will be good

Israeli Deputy Defense Minister Efraim Sneh expressed his confidence that the agreement with Syria that will be raised before people in Israel will be a good agreement that provides peace and security.

Israel Radio quoted Sneh as saying that such an agreement will obtain the support of the majority of the Israeli citizens in a public referendum.

Sneh asserted the importance of reaching an agreement with Syria because this country could hit the depths of the Israeli lands, expressing his belief that achieving peace with Syria will result in a settlement with all the Arab states, therefore the negotiations must be firmly tackled.
