Environmental education program for Egyptian schools

Egyptian Minister of Education Hussein Kamal Baha al-Din agreed on a cooperation program among the ministries of education, health and environment in cooperation with UNESCO and UNICEF, as well as non-governmental civil associations, on establishing a program by the ministry for spreading environmental awareness among students and positive participation in protecting the environment and the community surrounding the school.
The program will initially be implemented in 20 Egyptian schools.
The education minister said the ministry inserted new concepts about the environment in the circulums, as the environment is no longer an abstract concept but subject of "practical projects, research and experiments in all education stages."
