Egypt proposes cultural prize with US

Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Munfeed Shehab said the draft of the Nile Prize proposed by the Egyptian cultural bureau in Washington is aimed at creating a deep cutlural discussion between Egypt and the USA.

Shehab said the prize will be granted annually in the fields of theater, the novel, short stories, poetry and the songs, adding that it will be announced in December every year and that the Egyptian side-- represented in the Egyptian cultural bureau in Washington and the supreme council for culture, as well as Cairo University-- are to choose the winners while the US side will choose the US winners.
