Meguid receives messages on evacuating region from nuclear weapons

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid received a written message from Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasim Bin Jabir Al-Thani concerning Qatar's efforts to evacuate the Middle East from nuclear weapons and the AL's efforts concerning this matter.
The message was delivered by Qatar's ambassador in Cairo and its delegate at the AL, Mohamed Al-Khalifa.
Mohammed Zakaria Ismail, the assistant secretary general for political affairs in the Arab League, said the secretary general sent messages to the Arab foreign ministers in which he asked them to represent the Arab efforts during their communications in the United Nations and the General Assembly in order to evacuate the Middle East from nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction.
The secretary general also received similar messages from the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Jordan concerning these efforts.
