Some 210 prisoners pardoned in Dubai

The commander general of the Dubai police in the United Arab Emirates has announced that the UAE intends to release some 210 prisoners before the end of their sentences, on the occasion of the holy month Ramadan.
The UAE official news agency quoted Lt. Gen. Dahi Khalfan Tamim as saying that this measure was taken at the directives of UAE Minister of Defense and Crown Prince Sheikh Muhammad Bin Rashed al-Maktoum.
On Tuesday the ruler of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani, decided to release 42 prisoners.
