New campaign finance law to be introduced in Yemeni

Yemeni Minister of Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Abdullah Ahmad Ghanem has stated that the parties affairs committee intends to make amendments in the law for parties and political organizations.
Ghanem stated that the proposed amendments will be submitted in a seminar to be organized with the participation of legal parties in the country and attended by leaders and intellectuals within the coming months.
He added that the amendments target certain legal articles and financial aspects so parties will be able to finance their activities by self-raised resources, especially as Yemeni law bans the parties from receiving money from foreign sources.
