Eight Reciters in International Quranic Competition in Malaysia

Eight reciters including three women took part on the second day of the 41st International Quranic Reciters Assembly at here Wednesday, Malaysian news agency BERNAMA said.
The male reciters are from Egypt, Oman, Palestine, Libya and Cambodia, while the female reciters come from South Africa, Cambodia and China.
The annual completion during the fasting month of Ramadan was officiated by the Malaysian king, who is head of Islamic affairs in the country, on Tuesday night.
Forty-three reciters including 16 women from 28 nations are taking part in the event which ends Sunday.
