Morocco, Peace Child International pass environment agreement
Morocco, Environment, 12/16/1999
The Moroccan environment department passed Wednesday in Rabat a cooperation agreement with the "Peace Child International"(PCI) on the promotion of environment awareness in Moroccan schools.
The joint undertaking worth $53,635 will promote the youth awareness of preservation issues and induce action and attitudes to cope with identified environment problems.
Morocco pays for half of the project to end in 2001 while PCI provides, through partners, the other half and technical and pedagogical backup.
Both sides pledged to expand the experiment to more schools and help start similar projects in other Arab and African countries.
