Morocco decrees three-month stoppage for cephalopod fisheries

All fishing activity for high-sea, coastal and traditional cephalopod fisheries will stop for three months as of February 2000, the maritime fishery department announced in Rabat Wednesday.
A communique of the department said yearly cephalopod catches will be limited as of next January as part of an overall protection and expolitation plan of the fishery and efforts to regulate supply and prices.
