Egyptian ambassador: Cyprus the best candidate to host negotiations

The Egyptian ambassador in Nicosia, Omar Mutwali, has stated that Cyprus is the best candidate state to host the Syrian-Israeli negotiations which were resumed on Wednesday in Washington.
Mutwali, in a statement quoted by the Cypriot news agency, welcomed the idea of Egypt hosting the negotiations due to the firm relations linked it to the two countries, Syria and Israel.
Mutwali added if they decide to change the venue of the negotiations, Cyprus is one of the best candidate states to host them
In an official statement last Friday, the government of Cyprus welcomed the resumption of talks and proposed hosting them.
