Lebanese President Emil Lahoud on Tuesday in Beirut received speakers of the Arab parliaments that took part in the meeting of the Arab parliamentary committee and the symposium on a united Arab parliament being held in Beirut.
Talks dealt with deliberations of the Arab committee on ways of developing aspects of pan-Arab solidarity and reactivating joint Arab action.
Meanwhile, the speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, voiced the Arab parliamentarians' full backing for the resumption of the Syrian-Israeli negotiations from the point where the Middle East peace process left off.
