On the new Algerian government

The Algerian daily al-Bilad issued on Tuesday said that the set up of the new government which Algeria will declare before the end of the current month will include 31 ministerial portfolios.

The paper indicated that the four coalition member parties: the National Liberation Front, the Democratic National Coalition; the Peaceful Society Movement and the al-Nahda Movement will have between 5 and 7 portfolios, while the Coalition for Peace and Democracy and the Republic National Coalition will have one or two portfolios.

The paper reported that the presidency's share of the portfolios will be six ministries, which are the foreign, interior, defense, finance, information and justice ministries. Four portfolios will be for the advisors of President Bouteflika.

Meanwhile, the Algerian daily al-Khabar issued on Tuesday said that the Algerian security forces killed three armed groups members in the Zira al-Meizan city in Tizi Ouzou province and in Taqrara area in Teibaza province.

Meanwhile, the Algerian daily Sawt al-Ahrar said the first shift of the armed wing of the Islamic Salvation Front are preparing to hand themselves over to the Algerian security forces at the end of the current weak. The paper indicated that this shift includes the elderly, women and children.
