Israeli forces continue attacks against Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 12/14/1999

The Israeli forces on Monday renewed their attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security forces said the Israeli artillery bombarded the outskirts of Habboush and Arab Salim towns and the al-Zahrani river course for more than half an hour with heavy shelling.

At dawn on Monday, the Israeli occupation troops arrested Lebanese citizens Muhammad Ali Mourani, Muhammad Ali Assaf and Ali Ahmad Tpoubeh from the occupied town of Arnoun and took them to Khiam camps.

In retaliation, the Lebanese resistance attacked two Israeli occupation positions inside the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese resistance sources said one of its groups attacked al-Sweida position and direct hits were scored. Another Lebanese resistance group attacked al-Qalaa position. Direct hits were inflicted on the elements and fortifications of the position.

The Lebanese resistance also, later in the day, attacked an Israeli mechanized force patrolling al-Radar position road in the western sector of south Lebanon.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said the forces were sprayed by machine-gun fire and rockets and that direct hits were achieved among the occupants of the force.
