7% increase in aged people in Lebanon
Lebanon, Health, 12/13/1999
Lebanese official statistics stated that the ratio of people aged 65 years and older has increased from 5% in 1970 to 7% in 1996, and 42% of them are working. It added that this increase is due to increasing health and social care for elderly people in Lebanon.
