Israel continues aggressions against south Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 12/11/1999

The Israeli occupation forces on Friday continued their attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery bombarded the woods of Sujoud al-Rayhan and the Aqmata farm in al-Tuffah district, with 155 and 130 mm shells.

In retaliation, the Lebanese resistance carried out a series of operations against the Israeli occupation forces and their agents in the occupied part of south Lebanon.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said its groups attacked on Friday morning Israeli and Israeli-allied miilitia positions in Sujoud, Kassaret al-Aroush, al-Qasir, al-Sweida, al-Hardoun, al-Salaa, Shama and Teir Harfa, using machine guns and rockets. The bombardment resulted in precise and direct hits on the Israeli position.

Another Lebanese resistance group attacked an Israeli-South Lebanon Army militia joint patrol on Sujoud al-Rauhan road while heading for the Israeli Sujoud position, using machine guns and rockets. Direct hits were achieved.

Moreover, the Israeli occupation forces and the allied SLA militias expelled on Friday Rana Zaki Awad (26) from her town al-Khiam after she had been released from al-Khiam concentration camp on Thursday. She arrived in al-Nabatiyeh before noon Friday across the Kafer Tibnet crossing.
