Lebanese premier confers with PLO official

Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss on Friday in Beirut received the chairman of the PLO political department, Farouk Qaddoumi. Talks dealt with Lebanese- Palestinian relations and the developments of the Middle East peace process.
Following the meeting, Qaddoumi stressed the desire of the Palestinian people to maintain Lebanon's national security and sovereignty and the need to have the Palestinian refugees returned to their homeland.
Qaddoumi commented: "Lebanon's insistence on rejecting settling Palestinians and their rights helps strengthen the Palestinians and the Lebanese position in the Middle East peace process."
Al-Hoss, for his part, denied any Lebanese military siege on the Palestinian camps.
