Japan asks Lebanon to hand over members of Red Army

Japanese diplomatic sources in Cairo said that Japan has renewed its demand to Lebanon to hand over five members of the Red Army organization who are imprisoned in Beirut and whose sentences will end on March 7.
The sources said a written request of the Lebanese government was submitted concerning this matter.
The prisoners are Kozo Okamoto (51), Masao Adachi (60), Kazuo Tohira (46), Haro Wako (51), and Mariko Yamamoto (39).
Japan has demanding for the five to be handed over since they were arrested in Lebanon in 1979 for using fake passports.
