Lebanese - Iraqi discussions on expanding trade

Official discussions between Iraq and Lebanon started in the Iraqi capital yesterday aimed at revitalizing the maritime and land transportation of goods between the two states and means of facilitating it.

A Committee was formed to develop a working formula concerning land transportation for passengers and goods as well as transporting goods by rail, in the framework of the two states' desire to develop their economic and commercial relations.

A delegation including more than 80 Lebanese businessmen is currently visiting Iraq to discuss commercial exchange between the two countries.
