17th session of Arab foreign ministers council to be held at end of January

The meetings of the 17th session of the Arab foreign ministers' council will be held in Algeria on January 29 - 30 to evaluate the range of commitment and application of items of the Arab agreement for combating terrorism.

An official source in Algeria said yesterday that there is continuos security cooperation between Egypt and Algeria on many levels in a joint strategy adopted by the two states on the Arab, African and the Mediterranean levels, saying that Cairo and Algeria are currently examining preparing proposals to revitalize the Arab agreement for combating terrorism to be raised during the ministerial meetings.

He added that there is security coordination between Algerian and Yemen, Libya, Sudan and Egypt in the field of combating terrorism and handing over suspects.
