Le Monde: an Israeli delegation visited Algeria

The French daily Le Monde said that "a high-ranking Israeli delegation" had visited Algeria between October 15 and 25 in order to make undeclared rapprochement between the two countries.
The French paper explained that "a delegation including five Israelis was received in Seidi Balabas, Qusintinah and Algiers, and its members held talks with two of President Butaflika's aides, who are in charge of the file on bilateral relations."
The paper continued that the Israeli delegation also met with "Algerian officials from different ministries and an army Lt. Gen. Officer."
The French daily continued that, "An Algerian delegation of the same senior level will head for Israel in the coming weeks following the holy month of Ramadan."
The French paper indicated that the Israelis and the Algerians also discussed in addition to trade and military issues, the possibility of opening two offices representing each of the two countries in Algiers and Tel Aviv.
