Meetings of Arab organization for atomic power conclude

The executive council of the Arab organization for atomic power, located in Tunis, is concluding the meetings of its 24th regular session today, during which it has tackled reports concerning training sessions that were organized by the organization on medical procedures and preparations in case of a radiation emergency and on activating and using research reactors and field of nuclear medicine.
The council, which convenes its session every six months, also discussed the financial situation of the organization and the importance of implementing the financial commitments of the member states to the organization's budget.
Abd El-Hamid Zaharn, the head of the Egyptian organization for atomic power, headed the meetings, which lasted for four days.
The Arab organization for atomic power includes Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria and Tunisia.
