Hassan II Arabian horse trophy awarded In Paris

The Hassan II Trophies rewarding the best Arabian horse, junior and senior male and female categories, for the year 1999 were handed out in Paris Monday by ambassador Hassan Abouyoub.

The Arabian horse world championships for 1999 were organized by "Compexpo Paris," the Rabat-Bouznika Royal Stables and officials of both countries in charge of Morocco's year long festival in France, "Le Temps du Maroc."

For seniors (4 years and over), the prizes went to the mare "Victoria II" (senior), property of Saudi prince Khalid Ben Sultan Ben Abdelaziz, and the stallion "Calba" belonging to the British S. A. Watts.

The junior category (1-3 years) titles went to the German Sax Arabians for his filly "Essteema" and the belgian Despeghel for his colt "Eternity Ibn Navarrone."
