Lebanon-Israel, Military, 12/8/1999

One Lebanese citizen was killed as a result of the Israeli bombardment against al-Mansouri plain in south Lebanon on Monday evening.

Lebanese security sources said the Lebanese citizen, Ahmad Ibrahim al-Dawoud (50), was killed as a result of the Israeli bombardment while he was working on his land. The sources added that Lebanese workers Salman Awad and Ali Khalaf were also wounded while working on a farm.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces continued their attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery bombarded the woods of Sujoud, al-Rayhan and Aqmata farm in al-Tuffah district.

In retaliation, Lebanese resistance groups attacked the Israeli moves and Israeli agents' positions in Sujoud, Kassaret al-Aroush and Beaufort in the occupied part of south Lebanon.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said its men used in their attacks mortars, machine guns and rockets and that direct and accurate hits were scored.
