Morocco pledges to settle joblessness in southern provinces

Moroccan Employment Minister Khalid Alioua said on Monday that the joblessness issue in the southern province of Laayoune will be settled "very shortly."
Alioua, who was meeting with representatives of local jobless graduates, said the government is sparing no effort to settle the problem through a new method.
He announced the implementation of a large housing program that will generate some 10,000 new jobs.
He also disclosed that a higher sea fisheries institute will be dedicated next year in the region to train local youngsters.
