New Egyptian warnings for those who want to marry foreigners

The department of travel guidance in the Egyptian Foreign Ministry warned those desiring to marry foreigners against fulfilling the procedures without knowing rules of marriage, divorce and custody in the countries they are travelling to.
Ambassador Ahmed Ragheb, manager of the Egyptian travel guidance department, noted the difference in the rules of marriage, divorce and custody from those that exist in Egypt.
He said some of the Islamic states, for example, dispense punishment in the case of having more than one wife at the same time, like Turkey and Tunisia and that some of the Gulf states do not grant Egyptian wives the right to custody, even if her children were of the custody age.
