Qaddoumi to visit Lebanon on Thursday

Farouk Qaddoumi, head of the political department in the Palestinian
Liberation Organization, is to arrive in Beirut on Thursday for a visit during which he will meet with Lebanese Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Salim al-Hoss.
Lebanese diplomatic sources said Qaddoumi asked to meet President Emile Lahoud during his visit, expecting that they might meet on Saturday.
The sources also said that the aim of the visit was previously determined and that it relates to the peace settlement in the Middle East, referring to the Lebanese side's refusal to get into any discussion concerning matters related to some refugee camps.
