Morocco, UAE discuss cooperation in disabled persons issues
United Arab Emirates-Morocco, Culture, 12/6/1999

The Moroccan secretary of state for disabled persons, Nouzha Chekrouni, paid a visit last week to the United Arab Emirates, where she conferred with several UAE officials on cooperation in disabled persons-related issues.

The two sides traded experience on the rehabilitation of disabled children and their integration in the traditional educational system as well as on the services offered to the poor in the two countries.

A cooperation accord on disabled persons will be shortly signed by the two countries and summer camps will be organized in both countries to the benefit of disabled children.

During her trip to the UAE, Mrs Chekrouni visited several rehabilitation centers and held meetings with executives of the Union of Emarati Women.

The Union is chaired by Sheikha Fatima Bint Moubarak, spouse of the president of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed Ibn Sultan Al-Nahyan.
