Jordanian engineering unit destroys anti-personnel land mines

The Jordanian royal engineering unit on Sunday carried out the second stage of an operation to get rid of mines, during which some 8,000 anti-personnel land mines were destroyed.
During the first stage, Jordan destroyed anti-personnel land mines in September.
This campaign is being carried out in Jordan in the course of Jordan's implementation of the Ottawa agreement to eliminate land mines to eliminate Jordan's storage of land mines within four years.
