Israel intends to release satellite for espionage in cooperation with Russia
Israel, Military, 12/4/1999
Israeli sources spoke yesterday of Israel's intention to release a satellite for espionage using a Russian missile.
The Israeli Haaretz newspaper reported yesterday that Russia and Israel signed an agreement concerning this matter and was agreed upon by USA.
Israel chose releasing the satellite by a Russian missile because of its strength, price and time availability.
Israel released a small satellite for communications from Kazakhstan in 1996.
