Morocco to build industrial waste treatment in Casablanca with German help
Morocco-Germany, Economics, 12/3/1999
Morocco is studying the possibility of building in the megalopolis of Casablanca an industrial waste treatment plant with the help of Germany.
Moroccan Secretary of State for Environment Youssef Tahiri examined the project with the managers of German chemical and pharmaceutical giant Bayer and visited similar facilities used by Bayer to dispose of industrial waste.
The Moroccan official said Bayer has succeeded in combining development and environment policies.
He said Morocco would rather have a large plant that processes waste produced by industrial units which will be contributing funds to the project.
