Social dialogue resumes in Rabat

Social dialogue between the government, trade unions and the bosses' organization, Morocco's General Enterprise Confederation (CGEM), resumes this Friday afternoon, said the government-spokesman Khalid Alioua.
Talking to the media after a government council wednesday, Alioua announced the event, saying CGEM and the three major unions will be meeting this afternoon after an eight-month break.
The last social dialogue meeting dates back to April 99 which was crowned by the "Muharram 1st agreement" made up of key decisions in matters of employment, social housing and upgrading of the environment for investment.
The meeting also helped set up a follow-up committee and a wisemen's committee in charge of the protection of union rights.
