Israel destroys seven houses in south Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 12/3/1999

Israeli warplanes on Thursday raided al-Mansouri village, which adjoins the western sector of the occupied part of south Lebanon, and dropped several air-to-surface missiles at a time when the occupation artillery bombarded al-Mansouri and Majdal Zoune villages.

Lebanese security sources said the bombardment resulted in damaging several houses badly as well as the electricity grid and other houses in Barachit town.

In retaliation, Lebanese resistance forces on Thursday morning carried out a series of operations against the positions of the Israeli forces and their South Lebanon Army militia agents in the occupied part of south Lebanon.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said its men attacked the Israeli and Lahd positions in al-Debshe, al-Shaqeif castle, al-Sweida, Sujoud, al-Radar and al-Hardoun, using machine guns and rockets. The statement stressed that direct hits were achieved among the Israeli soldiers and their military equipment and fortifications.

Meanwhile, an Israeli military source said that two Israeli soldiers were wounded during an attack carried out by Lebanese resistance positions in the western sector of south Lebanon. Another Lebanese resistance group attacked an Israeli occupation position in al-Bayyad, using machine guns and rockets.

Direct hits were scored, said a statement by the Lebanese resistance.
