British and Moroccan economic operators meet in Rabat
Morocco-UK, Business, 12/1/1999

A British delegation, comprising bankers, trade promoters and business operators, is to explore this Tuesday with Moroccan business people opportunities to increase British investments in Morocco.

British economic operators already present in Morocco will present to their co-citizens best investment opportunities while their Moroccan colleagues will brief them on new reforms in customs and the labor law.

The British mission is led by chairman of the Committee for Middle East Trade (COMET), John Hill, who will make a presentation on incitements and impediments to foreign investments in Morocco.

Britain is Morocco's third client. Since 1990, British exports to Morocco went three folds higher and Morocco has become Britain's fourth outlet in the Arab world with more than 50 British companies conducting business in Morocco, employing 23,000 persons.

The British business delegation's trip to Morocco coincides with a visit by secretary of the foreign office, Peter Hain.
