Russia assures commitment to work for comprehensive Middle East peace

Russian President Boris Yeltsin expressed his country's intent to continue in reaching a peaceful settlement for the conflict in the Middle East. Yeltsin said in a cable of congratulations he sent to Palestinian President Yasser Arafat on the occasion of the international day for expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people that Russia will always want the peace process in the area.
