Egyptian minister of information to visit Tehran

Egyptian Minister of Information Safwat El-Sherif arrived in Muscat yesterday on a two-day visit to Oman before heading to Tehran to participate in meetings of the information ministers of the Islamic states to be held today in Tehran.
El-Sherif said his visit to Oman comes for consultation and coordination regarding the items raised on the agenda of the information ministers of the Islamic states, saying that Omani - Egyptian relations are strong and are witnessing a remarkable improvement under the reigns of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Sultan Qaboos Bin Said.
Diplomatic sources added, "There is an Arab coordination regarding the three Gulf islands occupied by Iran to present it on the agenda of the council of Islamic information ministers."
