Diplomatic, trade discussions between Iraq and South Africa

Iraqi Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan, Foreign Minister Mohamed Said al-Sahaf and Trade Minister Mohamed Mahdi Saleh discussed with the deputy foreign minister of South Africa bilateral relations, in addition to the latest developments of the drafts raised at the UN Security Council on Iraq and Iraq's opposition to the British - Dutch draft for suspending UN sanctions.
The deputy foreign minister of South Africa expressed his country's concern for developing relations with Iraq in the political, economic and cultural fields.
He said that his accompanying delegation includes more than 30 businessmen who represent major companies in South Africa aiming at fulfilling the needs of the Iraqi market.
