Fatah appoints a successor for Khaled Aref

The Fatah movement of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat has appointed Fathi al-Ardat as a general supervisor for the movement for the district of Sidon. Palestinian sources said that al-Ardat was appointed as a successor for the movement's secretary, Khaled Aref, who was arrested by Lebanese security forces earlier in November.
