Arab industrial and mining organization calls for subcontracting center

The 17th session of the executive council of the Organization for Industrial and Mining Development held recently in Rabat called for setting up an Arab subcontracting center.
Delegates from 13 Arab countries proposed to include the project in its 2001-2002 action plan and called arab standardization bodies to consolidate coordination and cooperation at the organization.
The meeting, Nov. 23-26, examined preparations for the 3rd Arab congress of electronics, communications and programming and decided to hold its upcoming congress next April in Marrakesh.
