Message from Mubarak to Bahrain's emir as Moussa starts Gulf tour

Mohamed El-Sayed Abas, Egypt's ambassador to Bahrain, said a message from Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to Bahraini Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Khalifa was conveyed by Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa to Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa.
In an interview with the Egyptian radio Sawt al-Arab over the phone this morning, Abas said the coming meeting of the Egyptian - Bahraini joint committee will discuss political, economic, regional and Arab topics.
He added that these topics are related to bilateral relations between the two countries and that there has been a wide field for cooperation between Egypt and Bahrain for long time.
He said, "We will start studying and following up on what was implemented in the frame of developing these relations between the two countries and exchanging the points of view concerning issues of joint concern."
Moussa started tonight a Gulf tour, during which he will visit Qatar and Bahrain. During his visit to Bahrain, Moussa will head the Egyptian side in the third session of the Egyptian - Bahraini joint committee, which started today and will conclude its works tomorrow.
He will also head the Egyptian side in works of the high Qatari - Egyptian committee under the chairmanship of the two states' foreign ministers in its third session, which will start on December 1.
