Gulf efforts to help Oman, Saudi Arabia join WTO

A Kuwaiti official said on Monday that GCC officials participating in the third ministerial conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO), will meet to find a joint cooperation formula to help Saudi Arabia and Oman join the WTO, reports the Kuwaiti news agency, KUNA.
Kuwait's assistant undersecretary for foreign trade said heads of GCC states would discuss several issues, topped by expanding the transitional period granted to developing and GCC states and simplifying measures and conditions to allow Saudi Arabia and Oman join the WTO.
The Kuwaiti official said members of the Islamic Development Bank would meet to discuss several issues on the agenda, such as agricultural and services issues, means of simplifying trade and its relations to environment.
