Egyptian minister of works denies delivering Nile water to Israel

Egyptian Minister of Public Works and Water Resources Mahmoud Abu Zied denied yesterday the possibility of delivering Nile water to Israel through El-Salam canal, referring to the non-existence of a water surplus to be transferred abroad. He depicted reports concerning transportation of water to Israel as rumors, assuring that El-Salam canal is used for transporting the Nile water to a part of Sinai to irrigate 400,000 feddans and another 220,000 feddans in the western Suez canal.
