Tunisian president to arrive in Cairo on Monday

Tunisian President Zein El-Abidin Ben Ali is to arrive on Monday in Cairo for a two-day official visit to fulfill the invitation of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

Mohamed El-Hadi El-Tereiki, the first advisor of President Ben Ali arrived yesterday evening to prepare for Bin Ali's visit.

Tunisia's ambassador in Cairo, Yousef El-Makadem, said this visit comes in the framework of the adherence of the two states' leaders to support and develop cooperation relations in different fields, adding that an official delegation comprising ministers and businessmen will escort President Ben Ali.

Samah Rabea, head of the Egyptian commercial representation bureau in Tunis, stated that there are attempts to reestablish the land line between the two states to facilitate the transportation of cargo and persons.
