Israeli settlement projects in the Golan

The chairman of the Israeli settlement council in the occupied Syrian Golan heights Ehuda Volman has called on the government of Ehud Barak to implement settlement, building and agricultural projects it had vowed to carry out in the Golan.

Volman added in a statement to the Israeli radio on Tuesday that Barak's government has pledged to carry out four new settlement projects in the occupied Golan, noting that these projects were approved and ratified.

Volman added that the confidence entrusted by the settlers in the Golan in Barak's government has been damaged as a result of the delay in carrying out these projects.
