Iraq confirms ending the sixth stage of oil-for-food program

Iraq said it stopped petroleum exports yesterday after refusing the extension sixth stage of the oil-for-food program with the UN for two weeks.
The Iraqi petroleum minister told journalists that Iraq stopped pumping oil and filled all quantities agreed upon according to the sixth stage of the oil-for-food agreement, saying that Iraq fulfilled all its committee's according to the sixth stage.
An official in the Iraqi corporation for marketing petroleum said the petroleum industry does not intend to resume exports until it receives the consent of the Iraqi government.
