Sultan Qaboos of Oman confers with Prince Charles of Britain

Sultan Qaboos Bin Said on Oman on Sunday met with Prince Charles, the British crown prince, in the Sultan's Baseih camp installed in the desert to the east of the capital, Muscat.
The Oman News Agency said the two sides reviewed the "march of historical relations between Oman and Britain and means of strengthening relations between them in all walks for the benefits of the two friendly countries." The Oman News Agency added that talks also dealt with issues of concern in light of developments and events on the regional and international arenas.
The British prince arrived in Muscat on Saturday in a visit which will last for three days. This visit falls in the course of Prince Charles' tour of the region, during which he visited the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
