Jordanian king meets with US official on Middle East peace
Jordan-USA, Politics, 11/23/1999

King Abdullah II of Jordan has asserted the need of reviving the Middle East peace process on the Syrian and Lebanese tracks with the objective of realizing a just and comprehensive peace that provides for returning the Arab rights and lands to their legitimate owners.

This was expressed in statements made in Amman on Sunday during King Abdullah's meeting with the US under secretary of state for Near East affairs, Edward Walker.

The Jordanian king called for exerting the utmost efforts and for seizing the currently available chance to attain the objective of the Middle East peace process through abiding by agreements reached between the two conflicting sides.

The two sides discussed relations between Jordan and the US, the current situation in the Middle East and the latest developments concerning the Middle East peace process.
