Beirut's 43rd Arab Book Fair Opens

Lebanese Premier Salim Al-Hoss on Friday inaugurated the 43rd Arab book fair, in which seven Arab states are participating.
The fair due to last for 15 days is held by the Arab cultural club, the education ministry and some writers, journalists, intellectuals and University professors.
There are 178 stands in the fair, including 29 for publishing houses from Egypt, Kuwait, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates and and the rest from Lebanon.
Al-Hoss said that intellectuals need freedom to exist and produce.
